The railway station is approximately 10 mins walk away from the office.

Leave the station via platform 1. Turn right and walk up the hill. Follow the hill around to the left. At the mini roundabout turn left (going past the archway and away from signs to the hospital). At the traffic lights turn right into Southgate Street. We are on the left hand side of the road opposite the cinema and church.

From the M3 Southbound
  • Leave the M3 at Junction 11
  • Turning right at the end of the slip road (go under the road)
  • Left at the lights onto the Hockley Link
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit
  • At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto St Cross Road
  • Continue on the road passed BP garage (on the right hand side), where it become Southgate Street

    From the M3 Northbound

  • Leave the M3 at Junction 11
  • At the roundabout go straight over
  • At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto St Cross Road
  • Continue on the road passed BP garage (on the right hand side), where it become Southgate Street

    From the A34

  • Leave the A34 on slip road following signs for South Wonston, Worthy Down, Winchester B3420
  • Go straight over at the first roundabout
  • At next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto B3420 (Andover Road)
  • Follow the road straight for approximately 5 minutes.
  • On the left is a Tesco Metro / Esso station, at the next traffic lights turn left.
  • Follow the one way system - going straight over at the next set of lights.
  • Keep in the right hand lane as the road splits and becomes Friarsgate
  • This will bring you back up into the city centre, once you have passed the multi storey car park get into the left hand lane.
  • Follow the road around and at the second set of traffic lights turn left onto Jewry Street.
  • At the next set of traffic lights turn left onto Southgate Street.

    From Southampton Airport train station there is a direct train service to Winchester from Platform 1, the London Waterloo service).
    Once you arrive at Winchester station, it is a 15 minute walk to our offices at 41 Southgate Street.

    Exit the station from Platform 1, walk down the steps and take a right though the tunnel. Walk down City Road towards the town centre. At the traffic lights, take a right onto Jewry Street. At the end of Jewry Street, cross over at the traffic-lights and turn right and then left onto Southgate Street. No 41 is a white Georgian building located on the right hand side, opposite St Thomas Centre Church and the Screen Cinema.

    If you're driving leave the airport and follow signs for the M27 westbound. Once on the M27, keep in the left hand lane and head towards London/Winchester on the M3.

    Continue on the M3 to Junction 11.

    Exit at Junction 11. At the roundabout go straight over. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto St Cross Road Continue on road pass the BP garage on the right hand side when it becomes Southgate Street. No41 is a white Georgian building on the right hand side opposite the Screen Cinema and St Thomas Centre Church.

    Unfortunately there is limited parking at our office, so we ask visitors to use either the Tower Street Car Park (charges) or the street parking.

    Two hour (free) bays can be found on:

  • Romans Road
  • Beaufort Road
  • Compton Road
  • Edgar Road

    All a 5 minute walk to the office

    Four hour (free) bays can be found on Kingsgate Road (10 min walk to the office)

    All day parking can be found at Winchester Park and Ride in either Barfield or St Catherine's.

  • Leave the M3 at Junction 10 Northbound or Junction 9 Southbound and follow signs for Winchester Park and Ride.
  • This costs £2.70 (including free bus travel) and does not accept cards.
  • The buses run between 8 15 minutes and is a ten minute journey. Please get off at Jewry Street (outside Barclays Bank). It is then a 5 minute walk to the office walk up to the traffic lights and turn left onto Southgate Street and follow the road to our office.

    Alternative paid parking in town can be found at Tower Street and Friarsgate car parks.

    Newcastle Central Station is a 5-10 minute walk from the office.

    by road

    Directions: (from the North)
    Take the A1(M) South leaving at the A167(M) junction, signposted (Newcastle City Centre). Follow this road, going straight ahead until you reach Cowgate roundabout (Morrison's supermarket will be on opposite side of roundabout) take first exit at this roundabout - should be signposted Newcastle (city centre). Continue straight ahead, you will eventually join the motorway, you will go under a flyover, the motorway forks take the right fork, heading towards the Tyne Bridge. Once past here get into the left hand lane. You pass Northumbria University buildings on your left, go under a pedestrian bridge and eventually under a roundabout immediately after this take the sliproad. This will carry you up to Swan House roundabout. Stay in the left lane and take first exit off the roundabout.

    Just before taking the left exit you will see Cuthbert House straight ahead. To access Cuthbert House continue taking the left exit and follow road down, stay to the right and take the first right, bear right again (you should have the Quayside car park opposite you). Get into the left hand lane and you will now be heading back towards Swan House roundabout. Take the first exit, as if you were going over the Tyne Bridge, but turn left before joining the Tyne Bridge. Cuthbert House car park / loading area is on the left.

    Directions: (from the South)
    Take the A1 North, leaving at the A184 junction signposted Newcastle (City Centre), Follow the sliproad up and around. Stay in the left lane will eventually be signposted Newcastle and Gateshead. This will take you to a roundabout with a petrol station on the left, take the third exit at this roundabout. You will be travelling along with the River Tyne running parallel on your left. Go straight through two sets of traffic lights. Get into left hand lane and at third set turn left and stay in left lane (be careful the left lane also filters off to another lefthand sliproad for the Swing bridge don't take this road) and drive over Tyne Bridge staying in left lane. Take first slip road immediately off the Tyne Bridge this will lead you up to Swan House roundabout you should have Lineker's Bar and Metro Radio in front of you. Get into right hand lane of slip road and take 4th exit off the roundabout. As you are taking the 4th exit you will see Cuthbert House on your right.

    To access Cuthbert House continue taking this 4th exit and follow road down, stay to the right and take the first right, bear right again (you should have the Quayside car park opposite you). Get into the left hand lane and you will now be heading back to Swan House roundabout. Take the first exit, as if you were going over the Tyne Bridge, but turn left before joining the Tyne Bridge. Cuthbert House car park / loading area is on the left.

    by air

    Newcastle Airport is approximately a 20 minute Metro ride from the city centre. Take the Metro from the Airport terminal into Newcastle City Centre, disembarking at Monument Metro underground. The office is a 5 minute walk from the station, walk down Grey Street, past the Theatre Royal, until you come to a crossroads with Niche/Grey St hotel on the left hand corner. Turn left and walk to roundabout, take the pedestrian crossing into the centre of the roundabout. Walk around to the right of the roundabout, past Lineker's Bar and past City Retreat on left, down the subway steps. Turn right when subway branches off. When you come out of the subway Cuthbert House entrance is on your right.

    Unfortunately there is no parking on site. There are several NCP style car parks within close walking distance. The Quayside car park is 70p per hour, Manors car park is 50p per hour. Both are within easy reach of Cuthbert House and we've found The Quayside car park is the most convenient. There is free parking approximately 15 minutes walk from the office but spaces a scarce.
