Festive Fixers Unite

Despite adverse weather conditions, Fixers from around the country are battling the snow to record a special Fixmas Song for the PSBT's ITV Fixers Project.

The verses have been written by Fixers from across the regions, who are using music to get their different messages across.

The idea was born in the ITV Fixers offices in Winchester and developed by Fixers all around the country. The Fixers are trying to find a common ground with this song:  they were given no restrictions when writing the lyrics and there was no single style to adhere to.  The resulting track is a mixture of styles and genres.

The backing track was recorded by a group of instrumentalists:  Kyle Georgiou (23) on percussion; Rio Kai (20) on bass; Gyles Morrison (23) on the fiddle; Tom Brown (23) on rhythm guitar; and Lance Thompson-Morrison and Liwa Watuta on drums.

The vocals are being recorded in two separate groups for the north and the south of England.  In the south the singers who recorded in a London studio were:  Molly King (25); De’votion Purven Jandhi (18), Chelsey Davidson (18), Zahra Mehdizadeh (19); Lee “Skallywag” Perryman (24); Tapfuma Minya (22), Ismail Chirimuuta (23) and Emmanuel Alade (24) from Nemesis; J Ali (19); Shrapnel (18); and Dutty Girl’s Sarah Bousri (24).

In the north the singers who recorded in studios in Gateshead and Skelmersdale were: Chanelle Adams (16); Emma Dockeray (16); Dan McGlynn (19); and Lee Seagraves (19), Gary Darley (18), James Merner (17) and Katie Nicholas (16) from Pose For The Camera.

ITV Fixers would like to thank the following technicians from the London School of Sound for their hard work and expertise putting together the song:  Str8 Face (Chief Sound Engineer), James Felix, Mikaela Tsangari, and Daniela Capano.
